Babylon welcomes a legendary diva: Macy Gray. Valentine’s Day and the following Tuesday, 2 nights in a row, Grammy awarded American singer Macy Gray will lit up the Babylon stage with her romantic hits. Her major hit “Try” is awarded by MTV & BRITS, and her debut album went platinum. Macy Gray, with her extraordinary voice and unforgettable romantic hits, will be at Babylon stage for two very special intimate gigs, with the sponsorship of Nokia Ovi Music.
Macy Gray also credited as Natalie Hinds in her music, is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter, record producer, and actress, famed for her distinctive raspy voice and a singing style heavily influenced by Billie Holiday and Betty Davis.
To date, Gray has released five studio albums, one compilation album, and one live album, with her fifth studio album, The Sellout, released on June 22, 2010; and has received five Grammy Award nominations, winning one. She has appeared in a number of films including Training Day, Spider-Man, Scary Movie 3, Lackawanna Blues and Idlewild. Gray is best known for her international hit single "I Try", taken from her multi-platinum debut album On How Life Is.
