Picante means spicy, bitter in Spanish and it is a registered brand created with adaptation of Mexico, Tex-Mex, Colombia, Cajun and Southwest American kitchen styles to taste of Turkish people. The Picante menu has been established by being blended with materials found in our country and been developped by being synthesized according to eating and drinking understanding of today. Though it is Latin-Mexico weighted, this style also affected from other regions is called as ‘’Latin / Borderline Cuisine ‘’ by Hakan Arat, the founder and brand manager of Picante. Picante that has been recognized and honored by ambassadores of Mexico in our country and some istitutions in Mexico since it’s opening date 1993, so far has three locations. One in İstanbul (Asmalımescit,Tünel), one in Çeşme Alaçatı and another one in Bursa Nilüfer.

The hotesst sauces and garnishes are served on the side, enabling diners to decide themselves exactly how hot they want their fajitas and burritos. Typical fare includes nachos, quesadillas, tacos, chimichangas, enchiladas and Cajun spiced beef or chicken. Picante also offers many options for light lunch brakes and a lot of colorful, healthy vegeterian dishes as well. Also please make note on the lime cheesecake too. There is no doubt that everything goes better with choices of Picante’s famous frozen margaritas.

Figures and objects peculiar to Mexico such as Sombrero (hat), cactus, Mariachi (Mexican musicians), piňatas (paper figures) and peppers are used in very different form than usual Mexico theme; they are more minimalist and almost pop but rather Latin. Althogh styles and decores might be slightly adjusted to the region and caractheristics of the buildings, everything including art objects are designed and most of the time hand made by Hakan Arat.
